With her playful personality, jokes and charm she denfintely keeps you on your toes. Her show is never boring nor the same. Born Verlinda Zeno. The 3rd of 8 children mother Effie Zeno in Louisiana. She is described as a beautiful sexy creole woman with long flowing black hair. Her beauty doesn’t stop at her looks. Her treatment of others tells the story of her natural inner beauty. Ms Zeno naturally never meets a stranger. She has a way of making even the most shiest person comfortable. She’s a queensize woman that takes pride inthrowing her weight around. Giving the true definition of being a Blues Woman in the South. Her down to earth personality and southern charms will leave you breatheless. She’s a people’s person who can strike up a conversation with everyone she encounters. Ms Zeno is a strong gifted business woman as well. This lady definitely wears more than one hat and truly gives everything she does 100%.Ms. Zeno moved to Memphis, TN, singing backup for the late Lil Milton Campbell. It was the late Albert King who took her and introduced her to the legendary Beale Street. He told her this is where you will pay your dues and make your name. That when she became Ms Zeno The Mojo Queen.

Here’s what she says in her own words about the experience of performing live on Beale Street 26 years. “It opened many doors for me. I looked forward to entertaining and rooting the many tourists with the blues. I strived to leave everyone I met with a positive and lasting impression of their visit to Memphis. And especially their experience of the Blues on the world known Beale Street.” I love what I do both at home in Memphis and on the road. I travel to perform nationally and internationally now. European blues festivals at least once or twice a year welcomes her. Ms Zeno has toured to many different parts of Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Amsterdam, and Hungary. And scheduled for Norway July 2019.Ms Zeno most painful experience in her musical career was Sept 12, 2005, when her late husband, Rodney Arnold, suffered a fatal heart attack, while playing drums,during one of her many shows on Beale St. She almost gave up her singing career, but it was her fans who wouldn’t let her give up. Also the fact that she knew Rodney would want her to continue singing. She knew her music touched people’s heart &healed their souls. So she continued on her blues journey to do what they both loved. Playing music & entertaining. Although he’s a drummer in heaven now. She says from his death she has learned to live and not take life or people for granted.Take the time to say, I Love You!
